A message from The P.E.E.R. Center’s Executive Director Juliet Dorris-Williams
Peer Recovery Support is an integral component to promote recovery, wellness and resiliency for individuals with a lived experience with mental health challenges and substance use disorders.
Over the past few years, Ohio’s behavioral health services have been incorporating Peer Recovery Support into the workplace. OhioMHAS has partnered with The P.E.E.R. Center to support Ohio agencies with technical assistance by providing, “Implementation of Peer Supporters in the Work Place” trainings.
To request a training, please follow this link:
Peer Recovery Support Technical Assistance
Did you know that The PEER Center in partnership with OhioMHAS provides technical assistance (TA) to provider agencies that provide or want to implement peer recovery supports and services to their communities?
eLicense Technical Assistance Hubs
Five peer organizations have partnered with OhioPRO and OhioMHAS to create technical assistance call centers for peers. These centers will be staffed by certified peer recovery supporters who will be available to answer any questions regarding the new eLicensing platform. They have received training so that they may provide information and answer any questions related to peer recovery supporter certification or recertification.
